Send Your Itinerary, We’ll Pick You Up

Hey friends and fam! Well, we’re about a month and a half away from the Big Day and we absolutely cannot wait!! We’ve dealt with a lot of back and forth with the planning, flights and passport drama, but as we get closer, things are finally starting to come together.

Prepare yourself for total fun in the sun. We have a wonderful reception party planned, and of course, the wedding will be awesome. We can’t wait to have all of our friends and family together in Guana.

As we get closer, we ask that you please send me your itinerary at sanchez0089@gmail.com, so that we can make arrangements to pick groups up from Marsh Harbour. If you’ve already made arrangements with Lynne and Steve, you’re good to go. Also, please let me know if you need help finding a place to stay. We look forward to seeing everyone in paradise soon!! xoxo karina

Oh, You’ve Been Rebooked on American, Too?

Yep, it’s happening to almost all of us who have booked our tickets on American for the wedding. We’ve been rebooked against our will.

Some people have had their flights changed with their final destination as Miami or Nassau. This simply won’t work. There are no ferries that go as far as Nassau or Miami. You have to fly to Marsh Harbour (unless you have a boat and want to brave the ocean waters for a few hours).

So if this ends up happening to you, here are some things to consider when figuring out what to do next:

from the short amount of research I’ve done, it looks like a lot of the flights going through Miami now have long overnight layovers either in Miami or Nassau.

»  Consider going through Fort Lauderdale. From that same short research I did, I found there to be more direct flights from Ft. Lauderdale to Marsh Harbour, leaving FLL and arriving at MHH at reasonable times.

»  Consider going through Nassau. It looks like a lot of flights going through Nassau also have an overnight layover, but at least you’re in Nassau!

»  Just an idea: book your tickets separately. DFW – FLL round trip. Then FLL – MHH round trip.

»  Fly Bahamian. Besides all the major US airlines, look into major Bahamian airlines Bahamas Air and Sky Bahamas. You can book Bahamas Air through Travelocity and Orbitz, but Sky Bahamas is only through their website. Or…a new one to try…Silver Airlines.

Please let us know if you have any questions; we’re happy to help!

News You Can Use

Hey friends, we wanted to update you on a few things. Some of you have already started to book flights and hotels, and have asked what days we’ll be in Guana. Chad and I will be there Oct. 8 – 14, so Tues – Mon. I’ve noticed that round-trip flights from DFW to Marsh Harbour (MHH) are pretty reasonable right now. Travelocity and Orbitz are showing R/T prices at about $558 – $564, which is really good. In other news, Sons of Hermann is CONFIRMED! We’ll be having the Dallas reception there on Nov. 23.  That’s it for now, but keep checking back for more updates!

Hey guys!

Thanks for all the great comments! It’s so exciting to see new ones in our guestbook.

We hope everyone has received their Save The Date by now. Please let us know if we’ve forgotten someone or if you haven’t gotten yours by now.

So we already have our first update. We got this report straight from Chad’s parents in Guana:

News flash:  We went to Grabbers for lunch today and they are totally remodeling everything, building a new bar and restaurant, updating all the rooms, adding new decking around the pool and a new gift shop.  We looked at the plans and it’s going to be really nice. I’m so glad because it’s such a beautiful spot, and it should be finished well before the wedding.  Told them we had several people coming for a wedding in October.

Yay! So for all of you planning on coming, please keep that in mind when making your reservations. Check out all the options for room and board at Lodging.
